Montreal Complètement Cirque is an annual festival that celebrates all things circus-themed for 11 days. The exciting, thrill-filled festival features acrobats, jugglers, and aerial performers.
The project brings together TOHU, the project’s driving force, Cirque Éloize, Les7 doigts de la main, Cirque du Soleil, the National Circus School, and En Piste to create North America's only circus festival.
As you can imagine, there are a ton of adrenaline-pumping shows and activities for people to enjoy, and many of them are free. From July 4-14 the festival will be offering FREE circus performances all around the city.
As well as paid, sit-down shows, the festival has organized free shows at various locations. At the Jardins Gamelins, for example, 32 performers will be flying through the air for a free show.
You can see them every day between the 4th and the 14th of July, except for the 8th. They will be performing at 7:15 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.
That is not the only free show on offer. On Saint Denis, between Maisonneuve and Ontario, circus artists will be performing between 5:30 and 11:00 p.m. every day but the 8th.
As someone who not a fan of heights, just watching the performers flip around and do tricks gives me vertigo.
Montreal Complètement Cirque is also hosting events where people can test out their acrobatic abilities. Those events will be taking place on rue Saint-Denis between Maisonneuve and Ontario, and they will be happening daily between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m.
It's definitely the kind of thing you would want to do with friends: dare each other to try crazy tricks, and then watch the performers do it wayy better than you.
