Montreal Is Hosting A Giant 'Goth Picnic' On Mount Royal This Weekend
Bring sunscreen, no tanning allowed.
I know that I've found myself asking, do goths have picnics? You might've asked yourself the same question. The resounding answer is yes according to Montreal's Great Gothic Picnic!
Every year, the Great Gothic Picnic assembles on Mont-Royal to celebrate all things goth under the sun. While that might seem counterintuitive to the whole goth aesthetic, you must realize that goths love to have fun — probably more than you!
This year's Great Gothic Picnic is looking to be bigger and better than ever before! Even if you aren't goth, this event is a fantastic way to spend a day.
Sponsored by Nuits D'Outre-Tombe and Gothfest Montreal, The Great Gothic Picnic is an annual celebration of Montreal's gothic culture. You might not realize it, but our city is a thriving hub for goths from all over the globe.
Happening this Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 on Mont-Royal, the picnic is going to be huge, with music, games, activities, artists, vendors, and more!
Little did you know that summer is time for goth, eh? The Great Gothic Picnic is totally free to attend and family friendly! Bring sunscreen, you wouldn't want to get a tan at a goth picnic, would you?
It's also recommended that you bring an umbrella and a coffin to complete that perfect gothic look. No guarantees that your eyeliner won't melt off if it gets too hot, though.
Wear your best gothic outfit and enjoy a spooky good time sitting on the Mont-Royal grass. No worries if you don't have a gothic outfit, at least one article of black clothing will suffice!
Don't be scared by all the black clothing and makeup — goths are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet!
