The newly renovated Plaza St-Hubert has come alive this summer unlike ever before. The popular shopping district is undergoing a huge facelift and this summer, during the construction holiday, the Plaza is opening up to the public!
For the past two years, Plaza merchants have been struggling to maintain their business because of seemingly endless construction. Finally, a temporary halt in construction will allow the Plaza to host a giant street fair!
The Festival Atmosph'Air Sur La Plaza is happening from 26th, 27th, and 28th of July along with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of August. The final two weekends are following a hugely successful event last weekend.
Vendors along the Plaza St-Hubert will be outdoors all weekend selling their products at incredible discounts.
Some 800,000 people are expected to visit the Plaza this year and this festival, one of their biggest events, is a big reason for that.
Along with amazing vendors, Plaza St-Hubert is also playing host to some incredible local musicians! Last weekend, Hanorah, Damien Robitaille, the Forest Boys, and the Foreign Diplomats delighted the crowds all night long.
The $55-million dollar refurbishment of Plaza St-Hubert is set to be completed in 2020. Merchants say that they're happy about the street fair because the past few years have been difficult for business, according to CBC News.
While you enjoy the music, make sure to visit all the vendors that'll be set up along the street! They'll be having sales all weekend long, so it's a perfect time for you to stock up on the essentials!
Don't miss out on this amazing weekend of sun, sales, and fun!
