- Förena Thermal City, a sprawling new spa near Montreal, is set to open in December 2019 and has released renderings of the new facility.
- Eventually, the development will also include restaurants and a hotel!
- It's only 30 minutes from Montreal!
First announced in 2016, the sprawling Förena development, a new thermal spa near Montreal, will finally be ready for customers this year and the facility is quite impressive.
Extending over more than 600,000 square feet, this massive spa was supposed to open this summer but was sadly delayed.
According to Narcity Québec, this spa was a $12 million investment for the first phase, alone, and is promised to be one of the largest spa facilities in the country.
The second phase is going to involve the construction of a hotel, a restaurant, and other pavilions to enjoy.
After years of hard work and a lot of money, Förena is going to open its doors in December of 2019 and I am so looking forward to spending some time there.
The spa development will be divided into two different thermotherapy areas.
There will also be both indoor and outdoor pools as well as spaces for beauty treatments and massage therapy.
Förena will be situated at the foot of Mont Saint-Bruno National Park, which is only about 30 minutes away from downtown Montreal.
This space was created to give customers a place to let go of their day to day stresses and enter a world designed to facilitate relaxation.
On its website, the spa promises a full sensory experience — "a world where time is frozen, like the ice of these immense frozen mountains," where "you hear her creaks [...] of wood under fire during a dark evening."
Sign up on the Förena website here to be among the first to experience the spa.
