Gamers and music lovers unite, there is a concert coming to Montreal dedicated solely to the best music in RPGs (role-playing games for those that aren't in the know). That's right, the Orchestre de Jeux Vidéo (OJV) presents its latest show, RPG II, celebrating "geek culture and musical orchestra" for two nights of one of the most unique musical experiences. How cool?

Held at the Salle Marguerite-Bourgeoys music venue, the 60 person wind symphony will play hits from your favourite adventure games like Octopath Traveler, Super Mario RPG, Skyrim, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts 2-3, Secret of Mana, Pokémon and many more.

Originally billed only for the night of February 1, the show sold out so quickly that another evening was added to the venue for January 31. Tickets are $30 for adults, but if you're a student that price drops to $20.

You may want to reserve your tickets now as the 705 seat arena is selling out faster than Deoxys moves.

The Orchestre de Jeux Vidéo goes back to 2008 as a way to make symphonic music a little more accessible to the general public. And what better way to do that than hopping on the coattails and musical sensibilities of some of the biggest video games in the world.

If you can't make it to this month's concert, the OJV will be holding another one in June devoted completely to the Final Fantasy franchise with an original musical work composed especially for the event. Final Fantasy VII: Materia Symphony will be a little different with an accompanying choir and professional lighting designers.

Orchestre de Jeux Vidéo has held concerts like Hero of the Past (check out the video below), another sold out two nights dedicated to none other than the Legend of Zelda and last year's 10th-year celebration featuring a symphonic tribute to games like Mario Odyssey, MegaMan, World of Warcraft and more.

The upcoming RPG II will be conducted by Montrealer Jonathan Dagenais and promises to be an iconic night of original scores and ones you'll recognize that have been created specifically with the orchestra in mind.

Whether you're a gamer, a symphony fanatic, or just want to feel a little childhood nostalgia, the OVJ RPG II concert is a unique and interesting way to spend a night.
