Hey, do you guys remember what you were doing when you were 13?

Personally, I don't remember what I was up to at that age, but it was definitely not anything productive. I can tell you with 100% certainty that I was doing absolutely nothing to benefit my future/follow my dream.

Which is why I'm so overly impressed with this kid's skills.

Instagram user @hockitay is a Montreal photographer, who also happens to be 13 years old.

He started taking pictures in March 2016, but his photography skills rival those of someone who's had much more experience in the business.

If you're impressed by his photography skills, then wait until you hear what he has to say:

"My goal or what I seek to accomplish is simple. I wish to become a better photographer and partially through this, to grow into a better human being. I hope to someday earn a living as a photographer and work hard everyday in that same vision."

Honestly, if that's not the most inspiring reason to keep reaching for your dreams, I don't know what is.

Also according to @hockitay, he's self-taught.

He legit bought a camera and started taking pictures, and even though he says he's been surrounded by artists his whole life, it's clear that this is pure, straight-up talent.
