This 5 Year Old Girl Really Does Not Want Her Baby Brother To Grow Up

There is cute and then there is this.
This 5 Year Old Girl Really Does Not Want Her Baby Brother To Grow Up

Every single day your newsfeed is bombarded with Buzzfeed/Buzzfeed-like articles with titles along the lines of "OMG Cutest Video Ever!" or "3-Year-Old Says Something, Must Watch!," and in truth, we've added to that problem here and there. Today, we're going to do so again, but at least this video truly is one of the most adorable things we've seen in a while.

From Buzzfeed (where else?) the video below features Sadie, a 5-year-old girl who just realizes her baby bro is going to grow up, and she ain't happy about it. Whines and wails ensue as Sadie laments the loss of her brothers tiny size and cute baby smiles. Standard stuff, but still super cute to watch.

On the other hand, the video showcases the very real anxiety of growing older. Sadie is sad not because her brother isn't going to stay small and cute, no, Sadie is tormented by how, like she, her brother will age and be thrust in a world that is filled with danger, angst, and social inequalities. Sadie would rather her brother remain innocently youthful, and not be tainted by age. Okay, probably too deep for a 5-year-old, but this way the video seems a little less vapid.

Keep your eyes on the baby bro throughout the thing too, 'cuz that kid is damn cute with those baby-smiles.
