This Is Going To Be The Worst Winter Weekend Ever In Montreal, Here's Why

It's been an interesting week weather-wise in Montreal. It may not be warm out there right now, but enjoy it while you can because it's about to get a lot worse.

There is a cold wave moving across Quebec this weekend that's going to create some pretty horrible weather conditions.

This morning it feels like -28°C in Montreal and the deep freeze is expected to continue throughout the weekend, but that's not the bad news. The bad news is that Environment Canada has issued special weather statement warning about an intense winter storm forecast to move across New England on Sunday.

Significant amounts of snow and very strong winds will reduce visibility and make the roads slippery and dangerous.

We’re expecting between 1-3 cm of snow every pretty much every day for the next week and Sunday we're supposed to get between 10-15 cm of snow.

Things are only going to get back to normal by next Wednesday and only after we get hit with another 10 cm snowfall.

So just to recap this weekend were expecting:

  • Record breaking cold temperatures
  • Snow every day
  • A snow storm
  • Strong winds
  • and Dangerous driving conditions

It’s pretty safe to say this is going to be the worst winter weekend ever in Montreal.
