This Is What Happens When A Montreal Artist Makes A Music Video
The entertainment industry today is brutal. Not only is the competition fierce, but the internet has pretty much given anyone with a microphone a voice, with varying results. Here in the city, we are blessed with some world-class talent that truly make Montreal proud. This is where Arcade Fire, Chromeo, Kaytranada, Celine Dion, A-Trak, The Barr Brothers, Half Moon Run, John Jacob Magistery, Leonard Cohen, and yes even Simple Plan, call home after all.
The latest Montreal artist quickly climbing the ranks, is rapper/hip hop singer Argento. What started as banging on pots and pans as a kid in his parents kitchen in the West Island, has evolved into a real passion for music, freestyling and writing lyrics.
Eventually linking up with Vito Luprano of Lupo One Productions, the same man responsible for signing Celine Dion and working alongside her as an executive producer for over 20 years, Argento has been busy building his sound, recently touring cross-Canada with Juno-nominee Kristina Maria, and lighting it up in Miami.
Well the future is looking bright for the West Island native. After dropping a free online mixtape in late 2015 (Brick x Brick), Argento’s first commercial single “Break The Ice” is scheduled to be released in late February 2016, but we got the exclusive look right here.
