This Is Why Montreal's STM Orange Line Has Been Shut Down

The STM's orange line was shut down at about 11:40 this morning.

The shutdown is affecting the following stations:

  • Snowdown
  • Villa-Maria
  • Vendome
  • Place-Saint-Henri
  • Lionel Groulx

According to the STM the shutdown was caused because someone inside the train pulled on the emergency break. No word yet on why exactly the emergency breaks was pulled.

Shutdown ORANGE line between Snowdon and L-Groulx. Emergency brake activated. Service expected to resume at 12:00. #stminfo T
