Children have a way with animals, a bond adults simply don't share. Maybe the shared innocence of children and animals bond the two, or kids are just not as big pricks to animals as adults. Whatever the case, children can connect with animals in a way beyond words. Thank goodness for photography.

Russian mother of two, Elena Shumilova, was inspired by her two sons' keen connection to the animals on their farm, calling them actual 'animal whisperers.' Shumilova's photos, crisp and clear, using mostly natural light, capture the real bond between her children and their animal pals. Not only are these photos inspiring, they are also quite possible the cutest thing ever, and I mean that.
