This Man Gets Paid To Have Sex With Prostitutes

The art of prostitution has pretty much been around since the dawn of civilization, practiced as far back as Ancient Greece. While it still exists in various forms today, and legislated on different levels depending on the country, a small group of licensed private investigators over in Australia are being solicited by councils all over the state to infiltrate and uncover secret brothels.

Appropriately named, John is 60 years old, divorced, and is one of these so-called "brothel busters," who gets paid to have sex with prostitutes in the name of the law. John tells Australian News that he's not paid a "huge amount...but I’m being paid to do something most people pay good money for."

Since authorities need a court order to gain access to the massage parlours suspected of illegal practices, these private investigators are the only way to obtain hard evidence. Basically councils hire them to walk in and engage in any sexual activities offered for the payment of money and report back with full details.

There has been plenty of backlash from taxpayers as they don't see this as a legitimate service, but Lachlan Jarvis, managing director of private investigation firm Lyonswood, maintains that this is a necessary service as it is helping to stop sex trafficking, among other things.

John says he considers himself incredibly lucky. “It’s not your typical nine-to-five, Monday-to-Friday job." He doesn't reveal how much he gets paid, and he’s “not driving around in a Porsche or anything," but does admit that in as far as retirement gigs go, he's not complaining.
