Leaving your dog at home when you leave the house is probably one of the hardest things we have to do it every day. Just imagining them sitting there all alone waiting for you to get back breaks my heart.
And don't get me started on how much we wish our dogs could understand English and get the jokes we tell them. Either way, it doesn't matter. We love our dogs and our dogs love us. So, we should be able to bring them with us wherever we go. Right?
Wrong. Most places don't allow dogs. And yes, I get that they bark and they poop. Well, humans yell and everybody poops. Let me bring my cocker spaniel with me. Just look at his face!
Well Montrealers, the wait is over! You no longer have to leave your dog at home when you go out for the night because Cinema du Parc is going to let you bring your dog to the movies!
That's right! For their special "Bring your own dog" night, you can enjoy a night out at the movies with your pup. Can you think of anything better?
On Sunday, April 15, for the 9 PM showing of (wait for it) Isle of Dogs (how perfect), you can expect to see a cinema full of dogs. And even if you don't have a dog, but love to look at dogs (because who doesn't?), I suggest you put next Sunday on your calendar.
Dogs are charged as children, which makes sense because let's be real they are our babies. And they do have to behave themselves. So, it's very important that you keep your dog on its lease at all times and that you bring a blanket to cover the seat your dog will be sitting on. And of course, if your dog is acting up or gets aggressive, you will have to leave.
The new Wes Anderson film Isle of Dogs is about a future in Japan in which they are FULL of dogs. So honestly, the best way to watch this movie is surrounded by our furry friends.
