Tim Hortons USA Is Releasing The Coolest Holiday Product This Week But It Won't Be Available In Canada And It's Not Fair

Tim Hortons is known for its specialty items and limited-time promotions.

Its quirky treats and celebratory specials are part of the reason why, despite controversy this year, the coffee chain occupies a special place in the hearts of Canadians.

TL;DR Tim Hortons USA is offering "Snowbits" this Saturday only at select locations.

In fact, the Tim Hortons brand has become synonymous with the Canadian identity. Timmies' seasonal and patriotic treats become instantly iconic.

Its holiday treats, too, have received praise. This year, the company released a number of Christmas-themed baked goods and holiday-inspired hot beverages, much to the delight of customers.

But, unfortunately, one item will not make an appearance in Canada this year – at least, as far as we can tell for now.

Tim Hortons USA, also called Tim Hortons Café and Bake Shop, is releasing what it's calling "Snowbits" as a limited-time promotion this week.

Saturday is the day twelve lucky guests can pick up a limited edition box of #SNOWbits at three secret locations. Hint: Swipe right to see the location near you!

The Snowbits are basically oversized TimBits (which, I guess, just makes them regular donuts), but their spherical shape and powdered exterior evoke some serious holiday whimsy.

The specialty donuts will only be available Saturday at select Tim Hortons USA locations. Moreover, only the first handful of customers at each franchise will get a box.

We reached out to Tim Hortons through their customer service hotline, where a representative confirmed that there are apparently no plans to bring the donuts to Canada.

Of course, there may be secretive plans that have not yet been released. We will update this article as we get more information.

Here's what you've all been waiting for: @TimHortonsUS is offering Snowbits, which are three times the size of Timbits, and covered in powdered sugar. Please remain calm.

In the meantime, if enough Canadians voice their desire for some Snowbits, Timmies may have no choice but to bring the treat to Canada.

Stay tuned.
