8. Cocoa/Cacao Powder

Cocoa/Cacao Powder has less than 15 calories per tablespoon and containing almost no fat, therefore providing a strong chocolate flavor without the guilt. I highly recommend drinking a cup of hot cacao before meals as due to cacao’s MAO inhibitors, it has been shown to reduce your appetite. By gently heating a hot cacao beverage, you will release more antioxidants and increase the appetite suppressant properties. If you find the taste of cacao too strong, add coconut milk, rice, or nut milk. Avoid dairy, as it will prevent antioxidant absorption.
