You've seen their club photos. You've seen their concert shots. You've been lit up by their flashes at Montreal's best bars, but do you know the person behind the pictures? MTL Blog is crazy about capturing the city's nightlife scene (our photo section can attest to that), and although we all love the work these fabulous photographers are doing, isn't it about time we paid some adoration to the people who capture Montreal's most exciting moments? We've compiled a list (in no particular order) of Montreal's best nightlife photographers, so you can give some love to the guys and gals who make you look good.

Lens: Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 or a Canon 50mm 1.8

All-time favourite gig: Covering the entire Osheaga festival. So many different artists and the whole weekend was amazing.

All-time favourite gig: Europe with Steve Aoki or Scandinavia with De La Soul. Also any gig with Riff Raff, Skrillex or Sky Blu is good vibes.

All-time favourite gig: CASAJMSB and Dada Life Frosh concert at Piknic Electronik.

All-time favorite gig: Anytime at B1 and Made With Love qualifier (really looking forward to the final!)

All-time favourite gig: Skins Rave To The Grave 3 - One of the most ridiculous parties ever!

All-time favourite gig: Moderat w/ Jon Hopkins was probably one of the bests show I've ever seen. Vaal killed it at Piknic too.


8. Danilo Jesse Momesso

Age: 25 years young

Lens: Minolta AF Maxxum 50mm f/2.8 Macro

All-time favorite gig: The Vice and Jansport Bonfire Session secret party. It was an undisclosed location, you made your way onto one of seven greyhound buses with complete strangers and the second you arrived you were greeted with free beer, blasting sunshine and good vibes. There wasn't a smile my camera missed.

Age: 20

Lens: Prime lens

All-time favourite gig: Osheaga 2013 w/Vilify


6. Julie Soto

Age: 23

Lens: 24-105mm

All-time favourite gig: Really hard to choose, there are so many. Maybe Birdy Nam Nam, Busy P, Steve Aoki ...


5. Sean Vadaru

Age: 18

Lens: 28mm or 85mm.

All-time favourite gig: Steve Aoki, because he really knows how to party


4. Sylvain Granier

Age: 25, until December 13th

All-time favourite gig: Vicetone at TheatreTelus on 14th september 2013!


3. Jamie Coveny

Lens: A taped up broken piece of junk! Too many party injuries…

All-time favourite gig: Would have to be my Snapshot parties, they just always turn up!

All-time favourite gig: The Sinjin Hawke show at Le Belmont and Flatbush Zombies show this year was bumping!
