Along with honoring the birthday of dear Queen Victoria, this statutory holiday is one we look forward to every year. With three days of vacation, this marks the first of many festive and eventful weekends in Montreal this spring (summer). After a long and cold winter, packing your Victoria Day long weekend with as many parties and debaucheries is a definite must.
MTSRKRFT Headlining I Love Neon’s 16th Anniversary Party At Montreal’s S.A.T.
While most Sunday nights end up being spent in bed because "I have work the next morning", this one is different. With work and school off on Monday, you'll have no excuse to keep you from raging on a Sunday night. Celebrating their birthday with Queen Victoria, I LOVE NEON turns 16 years old. For years, I LOVE NEON has been bringing the sickest shows to Montreal. Join them as they blow out their candles while jamming to homegrown electronic duo, MSTRKRFT at Société Des Arts Technologiques. It doesn't end there, I LOVE NEON is spreading the birthday love by giving away 2 pairs of VIP/ backstage tickets, along with 3 pairs of general tickets!

Montreal's favorite Sunday afternoon activity makes its comeback this weekend. Piknic Electronik kicks off at 2pm at Park Jean- Drapeau. This is a launch event you won't want to miss. Whilst sipping on your customized Piknic buckets, Crew Love, Slow Hands, Wolf + Lamb, Strange Town and Ostrich take the stage. Have you gotten your Piknic passes yet?
This weekend also marks the opening of Montreal's favorite amusement park, La Ronde. With over 50 rides and attractions, spending an entire day at the park isn't hard! While you're there, you'll want to be sure to take a ride on the Boomerang. Just how it sounds, the boomerang shoots out in, and zooms back in- with an elastic feel. Whether you have a season pass or not, La Ronde's kick off weekend will be one for the books.
Color Me Rad
This Sunday, run 5k with Color Me Rad as rainbows shed their tears, leaving you covered in florescent colors and making you wish you could to it again. Color Me Rad 5k is most probably the funnest work out you'll ever be a part of. While you're there, covered entirely in paint, to the point where the only evidence of white on your body is a smile, be sure to get your photo taken by one of the MTL Blog photographers!
Fruits & Veggies
If your hangover permits, we suggest picking up some of the freshest produce in the city at the Jean- Talon Market this weekend. Located in little Italy, the Jean- Talon market is one of the biggest of its kind in North America. Hang out at the Jean- Talon market and explore the vendors' fruits, vegetables and cultural diversity.
