Traffic Will Be Much Worse Than Normal In Montreal This Weekend

In the midst of the infamous two-week construction holiday in Quebec, road closures due to stalled construction are at a peak.

To help you navigate the hectic weekend, also one of the busiest for travelling in the whole year, we've compiled a complete list of road closures:

Victoria Bridge

– the bridge is closed to inbound traffic from 7am to 7pm on both Saturday and Sunday

Cartier Bridge

– the bridge will be completely closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday night between 8:30pm and 11:30pm

Highway 10

– westbound between Clement and the Victoria Bridge is reduced to two lanes
– eastbound access to A-15 south is completely closed

Highway 13

– southbound on the Chomedey Expressway is reduced to two lanes
– access to A-40 west is completely closed
– the service road from A-13 south to A-40 is is completely closed

Highway 15

– the entire southbound route between the Turcot Interchange and Île des sœurs from midnight Friday to 5am Monday
– exit 57 is completely closed in both directions
– northbound exit 61 to Ave. Atwater is completely closed
– southbound exit 60 is completely closed
– the on-ramp to A-15 south from Blvd. de la Vérendrye is completely closed
– access to the Champlain Bridge via A-15 south is completely closed
– the ramp from A-15 north to A-20 west is completely closed
– the ramp from A-15 north to A-720 east is completely closed
– the access ramp to A-15 north is reduced to one lane
– access to A-15 south from Ave. Girouard is completely closed until Monday at 5am
– northbound from the Turcot Interchange to the NDG tunnel is reduced to two lanes
– traffic is reduced to two lanes in both directions between Blvd. Gaétan-Laberge and Ave. Atwater

Highway 20

– eastbound Exit 60 is completely closed between 1:30am and 7:00am Saturday and 1:30am to 8:00am Sunday
– the access ramp from A-20 to R-138 east is completely closed
– access from A-20 east to A-15 south is completely closed
– access to A-20 west from 32nd avenue is closed from 10:30pm Friday to 7:00am Saturday
– the eastbound route between Blvd. Saint-Joseph and Ave. Saint-Pierre is completely closed
– eastbound between exit 65 and the St-Pierre interchange is completely closed every weekend night after 10:30pm
– westbound between 1st avenue and route A-13 is reduced to one lane until 7:00am Saturday

Highway 40

- westbound on the Île-aux-Toutres is reduced to two lanes
– westbound between exit 70 and Blvd. Cavendish is completely closed until 7:00am Saturday
– the A-40 service road westbound is closed between the entrances to A-13 north and A-13 south until 7:00am Saturday
– eastbound exit 76 is closed until 5:00am Saturday
– the westbound route between exit 76 and Ave. Querbes is closed until 5:00am on Saturday
– westbound exit 2 is closed until 5:00am Saturday

Highway 720

– westbound between the Ville-Marie Tunnel and the Turcot Interchange is reduced to two lanes
– eastbound between exits 4 and 6 is reduced to two lanes
– the ramp from A-70 west to A-20 west is completely closed until Monday at 5:00am
– the westbound ramp to A-15 south is completely closed
– westbound access to A-15 north is also completely closed
– eastbound between the Turcot Interchange and the Ville-Marrie Tunnel is reduced to two lanes
- Ave. Greene is completely closed in both directions between Rue St-Antoine and Blvd. Dorchester
– westbound exit 2 is completely closed
– the westbound onramp from Rue Fort is completely closed
– eastbound between Rue de la Montagne and Ave. Papineau is completely closed Saturday night after 8:30pm
– the westbound on-ramp from Rue Lucien-L'Allier is completely closed

Route 138

– westbound access to A-20 west is completely closed

Rue St-Jacques

– the street is completely closed in both directions between Ave. Girouard and Blvd. Décarie

Rue Notre-Dame

– the street is closed in both directions in the South-West of Montreal between Blvd. Monk and Ave. du Carillon

Chemin de-la-côte-St-Paul

– eastbound between Blvd. Monk and Rue Phillipe-Lalonde is completely closed

Rue St-Rémi

– the street is completely closed in both directions between Rue Notre-Dame and Rue St-Jacques
