Does being in your mid to late twenties mean you're too old to still believe in Santa Claus? Well, if you, like me, are an eternal child when it comes to all things Christmas, you are going to want to explore Santa’s Village this holiday season. I am fully aware that Santa Claus lives in the North Pole. I also know that he has a special place in his heart for Quebec and set up a little shop in Val-David, which is less than 2 hours away from Montreal.

Santa first opened this storybook village in 1953 and for over 60 years, holiday cheer has been had throughout this merry kingdom. From sliding through the fluffy white snow to visiting the animals and chatting with Santa Claus, this bright and festive village should be on every Montrealer's holiday bucket list.

Not only is this spot home to some of Santa’s most loved animals, but if you are lucky enough you may be able to chat him up and let him know firsthand what's on your Christmas list this holiday season.

Guests will be able to immerse themselves in a ton of magical and festive winter activities and challenges throughout the enchanting village.

A video preview of the winter festivities shows a small tubing hill and a toboggan slide. Jungle gyms throughout the complex are also sure to keep the kids entertained.

Just make sure you dress warmly as this is an outdoor event. And sometimes, hot chocolate isn’t enough!

For some people getting in the Christmas spirit takes a bit more effort, but a road trip to Santa’s Village will put a Christmas smirk on the face of any Grinch.

The little piece of the North Pole in Quebec is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and get back to the joys and fun of Christmas.

Everything needed to have a phenomenal day can be found at Santa’s Village — it is one of the jolliest places in the province.
