Video Showing Tsunami Warning Signs Blaring In British Columbia

Early this morning (Pacific Time) a 7.9 level earthquake struck Chiniak, Alaska, leading to a tsunami warning for coastal regions of British Columbia.

According to the video below, tsunami warnings were issued at 3:15am in Port Alberni, B.C. Sirens blared in the dark of night, alerting the community of the potential danger.

Take a look below.

Fortunately, Emergency Info BC has issued an update via Twitter, saying that the previously issued warning has been cancelled. Updates are still forthcoming as "all clear" statements have yet to be released in coastal communities.
