Saint-Henri is a neighborhood that is constantly changing. Just in the span of around five years, the 'hood has transformed from an off the radar area (sometimes described as a little sketchy) into a gentrified and artsy urban village of bike shops, cupcake shops, and trendy pubs. Just imagine what the St. Henri looked like back in the 60's.

Now you can peer into the past of St. Henri thanks to the documentary below, filmed by Hubert Aquin in 1962. Provided by the National Film Board of Canada, Aquin's documentary, inspired by the novel Bonheur d'occasion by Gabrielle Roy, lets you see St. Henri in 1962.
