For winter 2015, the Olympic Park is stepping up its game in a huge way with the creation of Village Mammouth. Part winter playground, part event space, and all parts fun, Village Mammouth will be at the top of you winter must-go-to list (aside from IglooFest, of course).

Perhaps the most appealing aspect of the soon-to-open Village Mammouth is the giant 5-metre high and 24-metre long ice slide that will be set up at Esplanade Financière Sun Life within the Olympic Park, where the winter village will be centered.

Adding to the arctic fun will be a huge refigerated ice rink, that will host free skate events and can be booked for hockey games. And don't stress if you don't have skates, because rentals will be available on-site.

Access to both the skating rink and the giant ice slide will be $3 for the whole day, or $5 for both.

Winter fun without food is a near-crime, and Village Mammouth will have you covered in the culinary department, too. Three different restaurants will be on-site, each catering to the needs of different foodies.

Village Mammouth's signature restaurant will be known as L'Expedition, which will serve ski chalet-favorites and comfort food like grilled cheese and soups. Le Brise-Glace, the village's bar will ensure you have plenty of wintery cocktails to enjoy, while the gaufre.be will round out every meal with some sweet Belgian waffles.

And Village Mammouth only gets better when the sun goes down. After dark, the winter village becomes a legit party-zone with several Montreal DJs spinning beats, with a whole dance floor set up so you can keep warm by busting a move.

Keeping the energy alive will be plenty of decorations and lights, creating a veritable winter wonderland atmosphere. For special events, there will even be pyrotechnics and light shows, adding to the party-vibe.

Village Mammouth will open at Montreal's Olympic Park on December 19th and run 'til March 13th, 2016 and open from Thursday to Sunday. Note, however, that the schedule will vary depending on the month, with breaks for the holidays.
