Disney has unveiled a bunch of new details about its upcoming streaming service and we are beyond excited. Not only will it only cost $7 a month, according to The New York Times, it is also starting off with a bang.
The all-new streaming service will host all 30 seasons of The Simpsons in addition to several original films and series.
Plus, the power of Disney includes soem Fox favourites like Malcom in the Middle.
In the Fox category, as I mentioned above, Disney + will host amazing 90s shows like Malcom in the Middle and the ongoing cartoon phenomenon, The Simpsons.
They'll also host Fox fan-favourite films, like Alien, Titanic and Avatar, notes The New York Times.
In terms of original content, Disney was able to even preview one of the orignal Star Wars spinoff series, created by Jon Favreau. The NYT notes the show will be called The Mandalorian and its budget implies it may be hoping to fill the Game of Thrones hole people will be feeling by the time Disney Plus launches.
Original movies were also teased, including a live-action re-makes of Disney classics, Lady and the Tramp and The Sword and the Stone. All-new original movies indclude a Anna Kendrick Christmas movie called "Noelle," though no word on if it's live-action or animated.
Fans of Phineas and Ferb will be excited to know they've got an animated movie slated for release. Other series spinoffs we could see, according to The NYT: High School Musical and Monsters, Inc.
Disney Plus will also vernture into the reality competition realm, with a cooking show called, "Be Our Guest," and something called "Encore!" that asks old Disney stars to return to their famed roles from years past and "recreate their preformance," notes The NYT.
If you aren't convinced by now that Disney Plus is going to be a million times better than Netflix... well, I can't relate. I'm so excited I can barely wait for November when I can cancel my Netflix subscription and make the jump to Disney Plus.
