Warning: Don't Be Alarmed When You See A Huge Plane Flying Super Close To Downtown Montreal Today

I woke up this morning to a very interesting piece of news that I think, personally, we should have been warned about earlier.  Because nothing is more alarming than seeing a place fly WAY too close to tall buildings.

That said, a Boeing 737 will be flying over and close to downtown Montreal this morning around 11am, so do not be alarmed. CBC even Tweeted about it earlier this morning and already got quite a few sassy and concerned comments.

Keep your eyes on the skies, Montrealers. A Boeing airplane will be flying low over downtown Montreal today between 11 and 11:30 a.m. as part of a Montreal police event.

August 30, 2018

This plane is flying over the city for an official flight event for the company Nolinor, specialized in charter flights in Quebec.

I remember a few years back a plane flew extremely low over downtown Montreal for a similar event. I lived downtown at the time and it seriously sounded like the plane was right there in my living room. My roommate and I both rushed out of our rooms and we're practically clutching each other in dread.  We had no idea what was going on.

The city only later released the news and informed citizens not to worry, that the plane was just part of an airshow.

I'm just glad that this time around, the city took a minute to inform people that an airshow would be happening right over the downtown core.
