Warning: Montreal To Be Hit With Brutal, Record Breaking Heatwave
Get ready Montreal because the next few days are going to be brutal.
A humid air-mass is moving over Quebec for the next 2 days which is going to make temperatures skyrocket.
This afternoon, the heat will reach 33ºC, but with the humidex it's going to feel more like 42ºC!
We checked, the weather for July 13th all the way back to 2001 and the closest we've come in the last 15 years was in 2012 when we hit 31.8ºC.
Conditions will remain this way Thursday as well, but it will all get better by Friday.
Environment Canada issued an alert along with tips on how to stay safe for the next few days. So stay indoors, don't workout too much or at all, and try your best to spend some time in air conditioned areas.
And just to make things interesting, there's also a risk of thunderstorms so be prepared for that as well.
