Well, Looks Like Canada Is This Much Closer To Legalizing Marijuana

Pot smokers and non smokers alike will agree that the current system of marijuana prohibition simply doesn't work.

It doesn't stop people from smoking, it wastes a monumental amount of resources, it makes criminals rich and it stops marijuana from being properly regulated.

The good news is that change is coming. The new marijuana legislation is set to be presented in Spring 2017, and in anticipation of that, Justin Trudeau is looking for support.

The Prime Minister posted a link to a marijuana reform petition on his Facebook profile. So if you support legalization go ahead and sign up. Every signature makes a difference.

Their mandate is simple:

Canada’s current system of marijuana prohibition does not work. It does not prevent young people from using marijuana and too many Canadians end up with criminal records for possessing small amounts of the drug.

The Liberal solution is clear: If we pass smart laws that tax and strictly regulate marijuana, we can better protect our kids, while preventing millions of dollars from going into the pockets of criminal organizations and street gangs.

The status quo isn’t working. Let’s keep marijuana out of our kids’ hands. Sign if you support our plan to legalize and regulate access to marijuana." - Liberal Party
