Today, everyone's talking about Steven King's new movie "IT" and with good reason. 

Pennywise the clown has been haunting us every since we first heard of him way back in the 80's, and now IT is back again hanging out in sewers, terrifying children, and turning bathrooms into blood fountains. Typical demon-clown stuff.

1. The Rating

Rotten tomatoes isn't very generous when it comes to ratings. In fact, some of the best movies of all time have been given crappy ratings. But in the case of IT, 89% of people say they enjoyed the movie. 


2. The Box Office Success

It was one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year, and now that IT's out, it has absolutely shattered all the box office records for horror films. It made $117.2 million during its opening weekend and another $62 million overseas. 


3. It's More Than Just A Horror Movie

Some people may avoid this movie because they don't enjoy"horror" films, but it is so much more than that.  In fact many critics will even tell you the movie evolves from horror to action. Some find the ending isn't even that scary, which actually makes the movie better. 


4. The History

It and story of Pennywise the clown have been around for awhile. In fact, Pennywise has been ranked as one of the scariest clowns in film history. It was the best-selling book in the United States the year it came out and the 1990 miniseries adaptation has become a cult classic


5. There's A 2nd Movie On The Way

The movie has been so successful that a sequel has already been announced, so now you have to see IT, because everyone you know will have seen IT, and they will most definitely drag you to see IT 2. So you might as well find out what all the fuss is about.
