Sears Canada just announced this morning that it has received official approval from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to go ahead with their liquidation sales!

This includes not only their entire inventory, it also includes the furniture, fixtures and all of the equipment located at their remaining stores. (Anyone need a 30-foot long metal shelf set?)

Over the past 18 months, Sears Canada had been attempting to reinvent the brand, and their plan had begun to gain traction with customers. Unfortunately, Sears did not have the financial resources or the time necessary to complete its reinvention.

The Liquidation Sales are expected to start on October 19.

Sadly this also means that as of October 18th Sears will no longer be honoring their Protection Agreements.

Delivery service will continue to be available until November 30, 2017.

Gift cards and Sears Club Points will be redeemable during the liquidation period. (Use them while you still can!)

During the liquidation period, all sales will be final and not returnable or exchangeable.
