Montreal’s Place Des Arts Is Turning Into A Free “Winter Wonderland Playground”

A magical way to celebrate winter in Montreal.

When is it acceptable to start ringing in the holiday season? Anything after October 31st in my books. Now that Halloween is officially in the past, we can finally start looking ahead to all of the magical events that Montreal has to offer.

"Luminotherapie" is back this year to bring us another wonderful interactive installation to help us make the most of our Montreal winters.

This is the eighth time that we will be seeing an installation like this in Montreal thanks to Quartier des Spectacles.  Last year, the display featured thirteen huge immersive zeotropes that were activated through movement.

According to the Quartier des Spectacle website, this year's installation is called "Impulse" and it involves a series of different sized seesaws that light up and play music while they are being used.

The installation will be placed at Place des Festivals from November 30th until January 28th, and it is free for anyone to enjoy.

Pretty cool right? Take a look at some other Luminotherapie installations that we have seen over the years.
