A Montreal man might be charged with 2nd-degree murder for what might be considered a compassion killing.
A hearing was held on Tuesday to determine whether or not there was adequate evidence to proceed with formal charges. Earlier this July, 56 year-old Michel Cadotte was accused with the murder when his wife Jocelyne Lizotte, 60, was found in cardiac arrest in a long-term care facility.
This is without a doubt one of the saddest stories I've heard this year. Two witnesses testified at the hearing; one was a pathologist and the other was a caregiver.
