This Monday May 18th 2015 it's Victoria Day in Canada (or Patriot's Day in Quebec). While we can all appreciate having a day off, it can be a bit of a hassle trying to figure out what's open and closed in the city. To save you a bit of stress, we've come up with a list of what establishments and services you'll be able to visit on Monday.
What's Open:
- SAQ
- Most restaurants (call ahead just incase)
- Shopping malls
- Grocery stores
- Markets
- Service-based businesses (eg. gas stations, hair dressers)
- Movie Theatres
- Biodome, Botanical Gardens, Insectarium, Science Centre, Planetarium
- Parking meters (uhg, gross)
- Garbage pickups
- Public transit (but following a weekend schedule)

What's Closed:
- Banks
- Federal and provincial government offices
- Post offices
- Municipal courts and most city offices
- Pointe-à-Callière Museum
- Montreal Exchange
- Costco
- Public libraries
