Montreal is undoubtedly an awesome city to be in. We have a great nightlife, you can meet all kinds if different people, the alcohol is relatively cheap and there's so many different restaurant to choose from you could eat somewhere different every night for months without repeating. A bonus is that you can eat at some really great places for cheap! Some hidden gems are cheap 24/7 and others have specials each night that let you spend minimal money without feeling like shit afterwards. Here's some great cheap places you can spend the next week trying.

1. NextDoor Pub & Grill (Sunday)

5175 Rue Sherbrooke O

This place has a great environment, the staff is amazing and best of all the food is delicious! Start your week off here with their .29$ chicken wings every Sunday! They give you 12 wings at .29$ each. They're delicious and they have tons of flavors for you to choose from! They have TVs all over playing whatever sports game everyone is interested in at that moment and during the summer they open up the patio doors to extend outside. A definite must try!


2. L'Academie (Monday)

4051 Rue St-Denis

Feeling a little fancy? This bring your own wine restaurant has a pasta special Monday - Thursday where you can get a huge plate of pasta for under 10$. It tastes great and the price is even better. Plus, any restaurant where you can bring as much wine as you'd like is a hard to hate.


3.  Irish Embassy Pub & Grill (Tuesday)

1234 Rue Bishop

Feeling for some delicious pub food? Every Tuesday you can enjoy a pound of wings and an Embassy Lager for only 12$. Their wings come in a variety of appetizing flavors and can be enjoyed while listening to some of their live music. When the warmer weather hits their giant back patio is opened up so you can enjoy the beautiful weather, go to town on their wings and still be able to enjoy their live music.


4. Three Amigos (Wednesday)

Made popular by their colossal margarita and daiquiri drinks, this Mexican restaurant offers a great fajita special every Wednesday night. For only 8$ you can enjoy a fajita platter in chicken, beef, lamb, shrimp or vegetable and tofu. Add on one of their signature margaritas to finish off your hump day right.


5. Schwartz  (Thursday)

3895 Saint-Laurent Boulevard

Enjoy your Thursday eating at a true Montreal landmark. If you live in Montreal and you've never eaten a smoked meat sandwich from Schwartz Smoked Meat then you're doing something wrong with your life. You can order a huge, fresh smoked meat sandwich for under 10$.


6. Casse-Croûte Normand  (Friday)

4826 Rue de Verdun

With Verdun becoming the new place to be, this restaurant is one that cannot be missed. Known for their delicious, french fries, this place is the go to restaurant for hot dogs and french fries. It may look like an average greasy spoon but the atmosphere is always friendly and the food is always great. While 10$ may seem a bit expensive for 2 hot dogs and a french fry or a hamburger and a french fry, once you've tasted it you'll agree that it was well worth it.

7. La Belle et la Boeuf (Saturday)

1620 Rue Ste-Catherine O

Enjoy your Saturday night with a meal that will send you to a food coma. Their colossal burgers are not only filling, they're heavenly. Made with fresh Angus beef, these burgers are enough to fill you for the entire day. Their french fries are always fresh and crispy and the lively atmosphere and entertaining decor provide great entertainment. Catch the Habs game while you eat or stay and watch the fight with a pitcher of beer. The entire plate costs under 20$ and is enough food to force even the biggest eaters to unbuckle their pants.
