Where You Can Take Free Yoga Classes In Montreal

When it comes to choosing a fun fitness class to sign up for, yoga is always a solid option. It dates all the way back to the 5th century BCE in India, eventually spreading to the West where it now has a variety of different schools and practices. Not only is it a decent workout, but some even consider it to be a healthy intervention for cancer, asthma, schizophrenia, and heart disease.

Taking multiple yoga classes can get pretty expensive, especially once you start adding up the bills - but it doesn't have to be. Thankfully, for all you Montreal yoga enthusiasts, there are quite a few places throughout the city that are offering free classes for all levels of yoga expertise.

1. Lululemon

1230 Mansfield

Every Sunday at 9:30am, Lululemon offers a free yoga class at Club Athletique Mansfield. It's open to all levels, from the complete beginner to the very advanced.

2. Yogasanteplus

4701 Ontario

At Yogasanteplus you can take advantage of their free trial class offering. They have a variety of classes to choose from year round. During the summer they also have outdoor yoga at Maisonneuve Park every Monday and Thursday, which after your free trial, is only $6 a class.

4. Moksha Yoga

3863 Saint Laurent

At Moksha Yoga they have an "Energy Exchange Program" which allows you to receive unlimited yoga classes (normally valued at $150 per month) in exchange for helping out in the studio for 4 hours a week. That's a pretty good deal if you ask us.

5. Jennifer Kruidbos Yoga

Jennifer Kruidbos teaches alignment-based Hatha yoga, and offers you your first class for free. And to make things even more convenient, she will come to your home or workplace to teach the class.

6. United Yoga Montreal

460 Saint Catherine O

At United Yoga you can volunteer your time and in exchange you'll receive free classes. It'll cost you a couple hours, but that's much, much better than costing you your hard earned money.

7. Equilibrium Yoga

4812 Saint Laurent

Equilibrium has both by-donation classes and free classes. Their Karma yoga classes are suitable for all levels and are offered weekly. There's a suggested $5 donation, but you can just give whatever you can afford.
