White Business Women With Weaves Are Hilariously Thought Provoking

Artist Endia Beal reworks fashion norms in the executive sphere.
White Business Women With Weaves Are Hilariously Thought Provoking

Photographer Endia Beal has pretty much created her own Tyler Perry film. The premise: take a bunch of high powered white business women, bring them to a salon with a predominantly black clientele, change their hairdo, and force them to have portraits taken. Hilarious hijinx highlighting racial differences would ensue. Sounds legit right? Only this happened in real life.

Called 'Can I Touch It,' Beal's photo series isn't meant to make people laugh, but to make people think about, and analyze, the differences in gender across races and cultures. Targeting women in the corporate sphere, Beal also wished to highlight how people express themselves in the business world, depending on gender and race. For a good laugh and a look into a cool social experiment, check out the photo series below.
