Woman Is Suing A Quebec Company For Shooting Porn In Her House Without Telling Her

Well, what would you do?
Woman Is Suing A Quebec Company For Shooting Porn In Her House Without Telling Her

Privacy in your home is super important to a lot of people. I know how creeped out I get when someone goes into my room without asking my permission. It's not that we necessarily have anything to hide. It's just common courtesy.

Simply being in someone else's space without their consent is one thing. Shooting porn is WHOLE other level of not okay. And, that was a reality for a woman from Massachusetts.

Leah Bassett recently found out that her home in Martha's Vineyard was being used to shoot pornography, and she had absolutely no idea. That's a pretty devastating thing to find out.

So, naturally, she's filed a federal lawsuit against the company responsible. Mile High Distribution Inc., which is based right here in Quebec, was apparently filming all manner of pornographic films in the home and did not acquire consent from the owner.

Ms. Bassett started renting out her home in 2014, but she could in no way have predicted that this is what her future tenants would be using her home for.

She is extremely devastated by this discovery, as she should be. I would probably have to power wash my entire house, or burn it. She says that they shot porn in almost every single room in the house. So, for her, nowhere is safe. They used the bedrooms, sofas, dining room table and even laundry room appliances.

Leah Basset is both emotionally and psychologically distressed by this whole thing and deserves compensation, in my opinion. The company did more than just violate the law, they also violated her trust.
