Beyoncé and Jay-Z were seen at the NBA finals game 3 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday night. The pair came to show their support for the Golden State Warriors, as they often do.
These are not the first celebrities to have been spotted courtside this season: from Barack Obama to Drake, many celebrities have come to show support for either team.
A video taken by ESPN went viral the following day. The video showed Beyoncé looking incredibly unimpressed as Nicole Curran, wife of the Golden States Warrior, appeared to be talking right over Beyoncé to joke with Jay-Z.
Fans were quick to take screeenshots of the videos and make memes and jokes about the seemingly awkward encounter.

Other fans did not take the incident so lightly. Curran now alleges that she is being bullied by members of the Beyhive, the nickname given to Beyoncé fans.

Curran explained to Ramona Shelby, a writer for ESPN, that she was only trying to be a good host by taking the pair's drink orders.
According to Shelby, Curran asked the pair if they wanted anything to drink. Because the stadium was loud, she leaned in to hear Jay-Z better.
This is when the unfortunately timed video apparently came about. Curran stated that she was only trying to be a good hostess:

Beyoncé's publicist took to Instagram to ask fans to calm down and stop bullying Curran.
The caption reads, "I [...] want to speak here to the beautiful BeyHiVE. I know your love runs deep but that love has to be given to every human. It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name. We love you. 🐝 🐝 🐝"
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not commented on the situation.
Curran, the woman who went viral when Beyoncé appeared to give her side-eye at the NBA finals, has alleged that she has received death threats from Beyoncé fans.
