TL;DR Aventures Kiamika in the Laurentian mountains is an amazing canoe camping experience just three hours from Montreal.
Camping is fun and all, but for us city kids, the prospect of not showering for a few days makes us stay on the terrace with our sangrias. For many of us, the closest thing we'll get to the great outdoors is attending TamTams on Mont-Royal and taking a baked hike through those trails.
Thankfully,camping just got a lot more comfortable.
Located in the Laurentians, Kiamika park covers 185 kilometres of natural landscape. The campsite itself is on the banks of the Kiamika Reservoir. With dozens of small islets that you can discover, Aventures Kiamika is a can't miss summer adventure.
The park's accommodations include your standard tent camping options for solo and group explorers, an "Indigenous village" with teepee tents on a private island, rustic chalets along the river banks for up to eight people, and floating chalets in the main park for up to six people.
@aventureskiamikaDaily activities include leisurely strolls through the forest, more rigorous hiking, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing.
