You may have noticed that I have been writing a lot about little secret nature-lover gems and hidden get-away spots to help you start planning all your summer adventures.

More specifically, I am on a bit of a Vermont tip these days. It truly is a beautiful state with so much to discover. And the people are crazy friends, and the beer is delicious. What more could you want?

This week, after doing some hunting, I've found a hidden swimming hole tucked away in Vermont near the quaint country town of Bristol. 

This swimming hole is unique because it provides safe swimming waters for children and people who don't necessarily want the adrenaline rush of swimming in more aggressive and fast-moving water of some of the other Vermont swimming holes I've written about.

Bristol Falls, located on New Haven River, is quite calm but also boasts several spots that you jump off and into the deep pools of emerald green water.  If you're feeling adventurous, of course.

It's only about a two-hour drive for Montreal and if you pack a nice lunch, is a perfect summer day trip destination.
