They're basically traditional egg waffles from Hong Kong, except stuffed with two scoops of delicious ice cream (you can choose from flavours like black sesame, green tea, and mango) and toppings, like M&Ms, marshmallows, bananas, red bean, and more!
You can even get the egg waffle itself flavoured too, if you want! The waffle comes in original, matcha red bean, or chocolate flavours. Sounds delicious? You know it is, guys. You know it is.
I don't know about you, but I am ALWAYS looking to try different restaurants from all across the globe that can be found right here in Montreal. Lately I've been craving Filipino food that gives me those vacation vibes. Luckily, Montreal has blessed us with a Filipino themed restaurant that looks too good to be true.
This restaurant has been open since 2003and their authentic Filipino cuisine will completely BLOW YOUR MIND! You can expect nothing less than fabulous Filipino food and great service that will legit transport you across the globe to the Philippines. You've heard of the "Caribbean Themed" Restaurant and the "Hawaiian Themed" snack bar, and trust me they are 514% amazing, but this Filipino restaurant is to die for.via @ln3sl
Cusine de Manille formerly known as Pearl of Manila, is an authentic Filipino restaurant that has been serving up traditional dishes for several years in Montreal. Not only is their food unique, but so is the fact that there is no menu! Customers choose their meals from a set of dishes.
They specialize in Filipino dishes that are both rooted in Spanish and Asian influences such as traditional lumpia rolls, pancit dishes, lechon (pork on a spit), dinuguan (savory pork stew in a spicy dark gravy of pig blood), and their most popular halo-halo dessert!
I have to take a moment just to talk about their halo-halo dessert! It may sound like a weird combination, but it is actually to die for. Halo-halo is a popular Filipino dessert with mixtures of shaved ice and evaporated milk to which are added various ingredients, including boiled sweet beans, coconut, sago, and fruits. LIKE GET IN MY MOUTH!
I actually first came across Cusine de Manille (located on 5781 Victoria Ave) at the "Asian Street Food" Festival and I immediately fell in love. This family business sure has stolen my heart! I mean nothing is better than their fresh dishes!
But the insane ice cream trends don't stop there! This Montreal cafe does some of the coolest things with their ice cream and coffee. They're home to the cookie dough ice cream sandwich and now they've created something else that's going to blow your minds!
They've made a coffee ice cream float and it looks sooo delicious! All they do is make a huge swirl with their deliciously creamy vanilla soft serve ice cream and then top it with their cold brew coffee for a super sweet treat!
You can even choose to enjoy your float with their chocolate soft serve or their vanilla/chocolate swirl soft serve!
You'll get a crispy and sweet egg waffle topped with any flavour of ice cream you want, from green tea, to red bean, to sesame. All of this delicious ice cream is then topped with even more goodies like whipped cream, chocolate or strawberry sauce, berries, and more!
