You Can Try Montreal's All-New Call Of Duty Escape Game For Free

Show of hands: How many of you are tired of doing the same thing every time you hang out with your friends? Brunch at a trendy cafe, drinks at your local bar, or sitting on your best friends couch eating take-out only stays entertaining for so long.
If, as an adult, your typical Friday night consists of heading down to the same bar you were at last weekend and every other weekend before that, you probably need a break of habit. And we have just the thing for you.
From October 19th to 21st, a Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 pop-up escape room is coming to Montreal and it's designed to test your problem-solving skills, your concentration and your mettle.
Escape rooms are a growing trend just about everywhere in the world and they're really making it fun to play again. The concept behind the game is simple: Figure your way out of locked rooms through a series of clues and puzzles aimed at challenging your wits.
But this one, taking place at 3455 Boul St-Laurent in Montreal, takes the idea to a whole new level. Instead of working with a team of a few friends to escape and win, players will face-off against other teams in an elimination-style battle royale concept. It's the only escape room of its kind. And it's totally free.
Here's how it works: Players will find different rooms based on the iconic maps from the Call of Duty PlayStation game. Four teams of four people will play at the same time and they all have to try and escape the room that they've entered. Each room takes about five minutes to complete and you have to beat the other teams in order to progress.
Only two teams will advance to the second round, where they'll battle it out to see who will make it to the final room. The entire game takes around 20 minutes total, but if your team doesn't make it through the first round, don't worry - you're invited to try again immediately in a different room. And since each individual escape room takes only five minutes, the lines should move along pretty quickly.
Like we said, the escape room is totally FREE. Players are invited on a first come, first served basis and anyone interested will want to act fast. It's only available for one weekend - from Friday, October 19th to Sunday, October 21st.
The event is also partnered with PlayStation, so you can be sure they'll have some hands-on gameplay on-site. And for all of you PlayStation Plus members out there, you'll receive exclusive access and a small gift!
