On March 17, management at the CIUSSS Centre-Sud's Notre-Dame Hospital was informed that racist graffiti had been found on the walls of a locker room used by staff and medical personnel.
Eric Forest, a spokesperson for the CIUSSS Centre-Sud, told MTL Blog that the graffiti was directed at staff and medical staff in a particular area of the hospital.

When the hospital was made aware of the graffitied slurs, staff began cleaning the walls on which they appeared, Forest said.
He told MTL Blog that an internal investigation into the slurs is underway. Forest did not disclose what was written to MTL Blog.
"Depending on the outcome of the investigation, sanctions or disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, may be taken," he said.
