Helena Hanson, Managing Editor

Helena Hanson (she/her) is the Managing Editor, Canada for MTL Blog and Narcity, where she leads a passionate team of writers and editors. A first-class graduate of Cardiff University's School of Journalism, Helena has a passion for inspiring readers to discover the magic in their own backyards. Originally from the U.K., Helena has also lived in Australia and Canada.

Avery Friedlander, Senior Copy Editor

Avery Friedlander (she/her) is the Senior Copy Editor at Narcity Media. She graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Journalism and English Minor from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and has been a professional grammar nitpicker ever since. Over the last seven years, Avery has edited and written for national organizations including Canada Post, The War Amps, Mediaplus Advertising, Canadian Dental Association, Canadian Electricity Association and others.
