An hour northwest of Quebec City in the park of the Vallée Bras-du-Nord is an easy hike that takes adventurers to Delaney Falls, a towering waterfall that, from its base, looks like it springs magically from its rocky cliff. 

The hike, an 8-kilometre round-trip, is "very accessible" with an elevation change of just 20 metres, according to the cooperative that cares for the park.

Despite a relatively mild and slow start to this winter season, Montrealers are delighted to see their city finally covered in successive waves of freshly-fallen, silent shrouds of snow.
