Environment Canada has put out a special weather statement for regions from the Eastern Townships to Gaspésie ahead of what could be a significant snowstorm in Quebec.

The agency makes clear that though "it is still too early to forecast with certainty how much snow will fall," the regions of Bas Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie "could see up to 30 centimetres."

The eastern part of the Gaspé peninsula might also see some freezing rain, Environment Canada says.
