The current tenant of the Verdun apartment that caused a stir after a huge lineup was photographed outside this weekend tells MTL Blog that "there was definitely a more responsible way to organize it."

Hayley Crawhall-Duk, who was first identified by Narcity Québec, said that she and her boyfriend "were definitely very surprised" that such a massive lineup formed.

If you know Red Bull then you know they're the masters of unusual competitions, and this one is no different. On September 6th,  Red Bull will be holding a Soap Box Derby in Montreal where participants will design, build and race their crazy contraptions down a hill to crown the ultimate Soap Box Champion.

The 45 teams that will be participating have already  been chosen by Red Bull and they've all submitted concept drawings of their wacky vehicles. In true Montreal fashion not only are these designs hilariously original, but they also represent the city we live in perfectly.

Who doesn't love a good summer festival? Answer: NO ONE! And Montreal has the festival grind down pat. One of the oldest and most beloved festivals to grace our fine city is Festival International De Jazz De Montreal. Not only is this bad boy one of the biggest festivals in the city, it also takes the cake for the largest Jazz festival in the world.

So of course it's coming back for it's 36 annual year in 2015! And if you're interested in going, but worrying about breaking your bank on the ticket, not to fear, general admission is totally free! Once a again, the city has our back when we don't have cash to spend.
