But which ones are coming back in person so far? Here are all the festivals that we know you'll be able to actually attend in person in Quebec this summer — if all goes according to plan.

When: July 15 – 31, 2021
Where: Quartier des Spectacles, Montreal
Why You Should Go: After such a long year, we all deserve a laugh. Just for Laughs is planning a hybrid online an in-person festival this year.
Les Francos de Montréal
When: September 9 – 12, 2021
Where: Quartier des Spectacles, Montreal
Why You Should Go: Because music has no language and to be honest, Quebec has some pretty killer artists that you probably aren't listening to.
Festival de Musique du Bout du Monde
When: August 5 – 8, 2021
Where: Gaspé, Quebec
Why You Should Go: It's probably the most scenic music festival in the province.
Festival Mode + Design
When: August 17 – 22, 2021
Where: Quartier des Spectacles, Montreal
Why You Should Go: Because you're not allowed to call yourself a fashionista if you don't go.
Montreal Jazz Festival
When: September 15 – 19, 2021
Where: Quartier des Spectacles, Montreal
Why You Should Go: While a large number of Jazz Fest shows have been postponed until 2022, the festival announced that some outdoor shows are on the horizon. Stay tuned for the lineup.
MUTEK Montréal
When: August 24 – September 5, 2021
Where: Montreal
Why You Should Go: If you love electronic music and the latest in technological innovations, this is the festival for you. Stay tuned for the full lineup for this year's online and in-person hybrid edition.
Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Hot Air Balloon Festival
When: August 14 – 22, 2021
Where: Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec
Why You Should Go: The festival and Canadian Hot Air Balloon Championship have pushed the event back to August. On its Facebook page, the festival indicates it will begin on August 14. The championship is scheduled to begin on August 19. There are no other details yet.
Festival International Nuits d'Afrique
When: July 6 – 18, 2021
Where: Quartier des Spectacles, Montreal
Why You Should Go: The celebration of African, Caribbean and Latin American music will feature in-person and online events this year. The festival will announce its lineup on June 1.
Festif! de Baie-Saint-Paul
When: July 21 – 25, 2021
Where: Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec
Why You Should Go: With a lineup featuring indie darlings Men I Trust and The Franklin Electric and including some of the best Quebec artists like Fouki, Alaclair Ensemble, and Coeur de Pirate, the Festif! de Baie-Saint-Paul is shaping up to be quite the event.
Festival MURAL
When: August 12 – 22, 2021
Where: boulevard Saint-Laurent, Montreal
Why You Should Go: It wouldn't be summer in the Plateau without the MURAL Fest. Go see what all the hype is about.
