21 International Flights With Infected Passengers Landed In Montreal In The Last 2 Weeks
Canada recently suspended flights from India and Pakistan to prevent the spread of B.1.617, a COVID-19 virus variant that was first identified in India.
The ban came almost three months after the federal government ordered all travellers flying into Canada to provide a negative COVID-19 test before boarding, but international flights carrying coronavirus-infected passengers are still touching down in Montreal, according to the federal government.

The government’s online database shows 21 international flights carrying infected passengers landed at Pierre-Elliott Trudeau Airport between April 12 and 23. The most recent, a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul, landed in Montreal on April 23.
The flights arrived from six countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Qatar, Turkey and the U.S.
An additional 21 domestic flights with infected passengers landed in Montreal between April 13 and 24.
The website indicates which rows were "affected" (three rows behind and in front of a row with an infected person), but for four flights, some or all affected rows are "unknown."
