The City of Montreal is planning to completely redevelop avenue des Pins in the Plateau-Mont-Royal to be greener, safer, and more user-friendly for all Montrealers. 

"With widened sidewalks, protected and elevated unidirectional bike paths, nearly 150 new trees and contemporary urban furniture, this redesigned artery will position itself as an essential access route to Mount Royal, in addition to considerably improving the safety, comfort and the experience of all users of the avenue," the city said in a press release.
