On Tuesday, the Service de Police de Laval (SPL) appealed to the public to help identify a suspect accused of assaulting a 60-year-old at a dep in the Pont-Viau neighbourhood.
The alleged incident occurred on August 3, 2020. In a statement, police explain there was a "verbal altercation" between the suspect and victim while both were in the check-out line.

The SPL says that "as they exited the business, the suspect allegedly followed the victim as she attempted to leave and pushed her violently. The victim was reportedly thrown from the front and fell down the stairs at the entrance of the business."
The suspect is described as a white female approximately 18 or 19 years old. Police say she's around 5 feet, 2 inches tall, has brown hair and speaks with a Québécois accent. She left the scene in a "light-coloured sedan."
"Anyone with information regarding the suspect can call the Info Line at 450 662-INFO (4636) or dial 911 and mention the file LVL 200807-030," the SPL statement concludes.
