In a Facebook post published on May 7, the CISSS Chaudière-Appalaches issued a call to residents who travelled by bus to an anti-lockdown protest on May 1, urging them to get tested for COVID-19.

In a statement, the regional health authority said it's "possible that COVID-19-positive persons were among the passengers" of the two buses that left from Lévis.

A hospital in Quebec's Laurentides region, Hospital of Saint-Eustache, reportedly sent 10 emails to employment agencies to recruit female orderly candidates with "white skin" only, according to La Presse.

La Presse reported that each message indicated similar selection criteria, including: "a white [hospital attendant]," "WHITE WOMAN ONLY," "MUST BE A WHITE WOMAN," "the [attendant] MUST BE WHITE SKINNED."

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de Lanaudière (CISSS) confirmed Thursday that another person who was at Joyce Echaquan's bedside as she died has been fired.

Echaquan was an Atikamekw woman who took to Facebook Live in her last moments to capture Joliette hospital staff members hurling racist insults and slurs her way.
