This Saturday marked one week of a four-week long Quebec curfew, starting at 8 p.m. every night. Like many other decisions made by the government over the last ten months, locals have mixed opinions on the new rule. 

On January 16, protesters took to the streets to voice their opinions against the CAQ's decision going into its second week. Protests continue to be permitted during this time, however, they must not be held during curfew hours, as the SPVM told MTL Blog.

With regions of Quebec in partial lockdown, it's shaping up to be an uneventful October. It's understandable that containing the spread of COVID-19 is a priority over Halloween, but it's still sad to watch Montreal's spooky season pass us by without proper recognition. 

Luckily, Montreal is 378 years old (founded in 1642) meaning it has a plethora of old churches, cemeteries, gothic architecture and creepy hotels.
